What is JEE Mains ?

The JEE Mains (Joint Entrance Examination - Main) is a national-level engineering entrance exam in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate engineering programs (B.E./B.Tech) in NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs). It is also the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the IITs.

Key Details:

Mode: Computer-based test (CBT)
Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
Marking Scheme: +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect answers (MCQs)
Attempts: Conducted twice a year (January & April)
Eligibility:12th pass or appearing students with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)
